To mark the start of Vienna Pride 2024 (25 May - 9 June), Raiffeisen Capital Management also hoisted the rainbow flag at the R19 offices (Mooslackengasse) along with other subsidiaries of Raiffeisen Bank International AG (RBI)
At the flag-raising ceremony, which was organised by EMBRACE (the LGBTQI+ Employee Resource Group at RBI and subsidiaries), CSIO Dieter Aigner stated unequivocally that sexual discrimination must have no place in a modern company.
The company is fully committed to diversity and active appreciation. Equal rights - regardless of origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, language or religious beliefs - are not just a buzzword for Raiffeisen Capital Management, but are practiced throughout the year.
The rainbow flag is a powerful symbol of the lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersexual community (LGBTQI+) and stands for diversity, acceptance, and pride. Even though equal treatment is a matter of course at Raiffeisen Capital Management, as also reflected in personnel decisions, it is important to send a visible signal with the rainbow flag. The rights of members of the LGBTQI+ community must still be fought for or defended in many parts of the world.
The EMBRACE team at RBI is open to all employees and continuously raises awareness for LGBTQI+ topics in the company. This creates an integrative working environment and contributes to employee satisfaction.
